An old reliable hybrid cross between a Barred Rock hen & a Rhode Island Red cock. The Black Sex-link is a balanced hen that not only turns out the eggs, but since this breed is a bit larger than our other hybrids, they can be utilized for a dual purpose. It is a very popular brown egg layer that is gentler breed than the Red Sex-link, however not as efficient.

This is one of our most popular breeds because of their prolific laying ability and feed efficiency. The Red Sex-link certainly impresses with her large brown eggs and her hardiness in all weather environments. If you need eggs in quantity, this is certainly the hybrid breed to consider.

This is the best heritage egg laying breed. The Leghorn is a single comb, clean legged variety that originated in Italy. Standard white plumage throughout. Hardy, but combs subject to frostbite in extreme cold weather areas. Leghorns are a flighty breed, very nervous and non broody.

The California White, which originated in the U.S., has a single comb & is a clean legged variety. They are one of the only production hybrid breed layers to lay white eggs. They have white plumage and black speckles.

An efficient laying hybrid that is is quick to mature. Gold Sex-Links are a very gentle bird that will be consistent producer of large brown eggs on your farm. Since they are sex-linked the females chicks are streaked with red or gold and males chicks are solid white.
